Pilot Lt. Alford Robinson was originally copilot on the 789th Lt. Russell crew during training phase but given his own crew upon arriving at Rackheath. Crew#41 had the distinction of being the second 789th crew to first complete missions; they finished 30 missions on June 29th 44, just one day later than the 789th Lt. Horner crew.
