were sadly killed on the 7th February 1944 while engaged on a
combat training mission operating out of the base at Wendover,
UT. Shortly after a formation departure their B24H failed to
emerge from low lying stratus and crashed into a mountain-side
8 miles northeast of the base. See Casualties.
