Photo taken at Wendover during initial training. Upon arrival at Rackheath copilot Alford Robinson was given his own crew and replaced by Lt. Harold Chilver.  The Russell crew completed missions on the 11th August 44 but Lt. Chilver was killed 7th August 44 when returning on his second mission with his own crew, crashing close to Rackheath.  See Casualties.
