Miscellaneous Items of the 467th BG(H)

Coombe House near Shaftesbury, Dorset.

This was known as a "Flak Shack" by 8th Air Force air crews and a pleasant place many air crews were sent for relaxation and recreation following the rigours of flying many combat missions. Coombe House was typical accommodation that catered for up to 50 officers and provided a welcome break for many 467th personnel.
