The Ken Driscoll crew had the distinction of leading the 467th with Col. Shower as command pilot on the Group's first combat mission on 10th April 44 to Bourges, France. Harold Pantis (Navigator) was taken POW, George Brannan and Richard Creighton (Gunners) were KIA when flying as replacements with the Harrison crew (Crew#18) on the Brunswick mission of 8th May 44.

The crew were assigned to the 801st BG(P) on May 10th 44 upon the 788th's transfer to night time special operations.
