29th December44 B24J 42-51572 Crash Debris near Rackheath base 

Rear and tail-section of the 790th Lt. Foster crew aircraft that crashed on top of the preceding aircraft in the dense fog. Five crew killed but four miraculously survived the disaster. The mission was eventually  scrubbed although eight crews did get airborne to fly the mission with other Groups that morning.
