Following running low on gas, the Lt. William Shoup crew (790th B.S.) made it to Switzerland, landing at Geneva on the 11th May 44 mission to Epinal, France. The crew were subsequently interned. After the War, the Swiss returned the aircraft to BAD1 at Burtonwood, Lancashire, where the aircraft was salvaged.
