Al Touchette, former Commanding Officer of the 1229th Quartermaster Company, at the dedication of the Memorial Plaque to Pvt. Dan Miney. The ceremony took place on the anniversary of the loss of Dan Miney who was assigned to the 1229th and killed during the enemy intruder air raid on the base on the evening of 22nd April 44. See Casualties page. The Plaque can be seen on the wall of the former Quartermaster offices building located on the former Tech. site on the base.
