B24J 42-110171 "Prowler" 790th B.S.

Formerly ex 491st BG on arrival in the UK it flew its first mission with the 467th on D-Day June 6th 44. Remained exclusively with the 790th Squadron and notched up over 100 combat missions by the end of hostilities. This photo was taken on the eastern side of the airfield at Rackheath near Hangar#2.
