Originally the Robert Seiler crew pictured at Wendover. Robert Seiler  after a small number of combat missions was promoted to a senior staff position, much later in 45 taking over the 789th Squadron as Commanding Officer. His position was taken by Thomas Murphy who was previously co-pilot with the 791st Vernon Rigsbee crew. Murphy was awarded a DFC for meritorious achievement when flying his first mission as a crew commander. See Accidents and Mishaps page.
