The crew were formally the majority of the original Lt. Ford Crew (Crew#52) an original crew who trained at Wendover and among the original air echelon. After Lt. Ford and several officers left for lead crew training it was taken over first by Lt. Terry Shaughnessy and then Lt. Joe Zbikowski who was former copilot. This photo was taken just a few days after completing their final mission on 8th August 1944.
