The crew pictured while staging for overseas at Topeka, Kansas. Crew#8 were later transferred out of the 788th to the 790th Squadron. Copilot Eugene Teague was KIA while flying as a replacement with the 788th Lt. Harrison crew in early May 44. See Casualties Page. On the Epinal mission of 11th May 44, the crew were forced to fly and land at Geneva, Switzerland, due to lack of gas. The crew were subsequently interned. See photo of aircraft at Geneva.
