Mission Narrative
The 8th AF dispatched 928 bombers on mission #380 to hit aircraft industry targets in Germany and marshaling yards in France and Belgium. The 2nd AD
dispatched 369 B-24s to hit aviation depots at Oldenburg, Rotenburg and Zwischenahn. The 467th BG was part of a force of 71 bombers to attack the airplane and seaplane station at Zwischenahn, Germany.

The Group led the 96th CBW on this misssion. The twenty-five aircraft sent on the mission started their takeoff at 0715. The assembly and flight to the target was had without little difficulty. All twenty five aircraft attacked the target with the results being reported as excellent. One aircraft, 42-29446 'Tangerine' flown by Lt. Dickinson with crew #067-R0 of the 790th BS, was late to take off and dropped all bombs on target with the 466th BG.

Lt. Col. Herzberg flew Group lead with Lt. Sheehan on 42-95273 with crew #061-R0 of the 790th BS. Major Holdridge flew Deputy Lead with Lt. Ford on 42-95057 'Angel' with crew #052-R0 of the 790th BS. The second squadron was led by Major Palmer flying with Lt. Monefeldt on 42-95004 'The Honey Wagon' with crew #032-R0 of the 789th BS. Deputy Lead for this squadron was Lt. Lominak on 41-29373 'The Monster' with crew #028-R0 of the 789th BS.

Moderate and accurate flak was encountered at the target. No enemy aircraft were sighted. There were no aircraft lost or crew casualties.
