Mission Narrative
In preparation for D-Day, mission #384 for the 8th AF saw 926 bombers attack V-weapon sites in the Pas de Calais area in an effort to deceive the enemy (Operation Cover) as to where the invasion would take place. The 2nd BD dispatched 293 B-24's. The 467th BG target was the coastal gun batteries at Stella Plage, France.

The twenty-two aircraft from the Group started taking off at 08:59. The Group was formed into two squadrons. The first was led by Major Palmer and the second was led by Capt. Beatty. Both were flying in PFF ships. The target was bombed through 10/10 cloud cover. The results were unobserved.

No flak or enemy fighters were encountered. There were no aircraft losses or crew casualties.
