The 467th BG(H) was formed, and did their group training, at Wendover AAB in Utah. The airfield and many of the original buildings still exist today. There is an extensive effort to bring many of these significant buildings into their former condition. The control tower and building have been the main museum at the airfield for many years. Recently, an expanded museum and banquet facility have been opened in the restored Base Officers Club building.
The 467th BG Association is currently communicating with the museums staff to establish a memorial in the new facility. It is important that the men of the 467th BG who trained, and especially those that gave their lives while training, are remembered and honored at this historic facility.
